How it’s worked out
- A refund of the overdraft interest, fees and charges from when the bank should have stepped in
- If you still owe the overdraft, the refund goes towards it first
- On money you’d already paid that comes back to you, 8% simple interest a year is usually added, with basic-rate tax taken off that part
